GetSetUp Jobs is a new GetSetUp initiative to foster economic opportunities for older adults. You can find our services related to jobs at the top of our getsetup.io page or directly at http://jobs.getsetup.com.
Do I have to pay for GetSetUp Jobs as a job seeker?
Job seekers do not need to pay to apply for jobs on the GetSetUp Jobs site.
Who can access jobs.getsetup.com?
The site is available to anyone. Once on the site, visitors are able to see available jobs and access job related content. Some content links back to our GetSetUp.io classes. In order to take those classes in their entirety you will need to register or be logged into your GetSetUp Account. HERE is more information on how to create an account.
What is SCSEP?
The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) is a community service and work-based job training program for older Americans. Authorized by the Older Americans Act, the program provides training for low-income, unemployed seniors. GetSetUp has partnered with various providers of SCSEP programming like NICOA and Easterseals to provide SCSEP program members upskilling and reskilling training sessions through classes offered on GetSetUp.
Can people apply for jobs on jobs.getsetup.com?
Yes, visitors to the site are able to apply for jobs openings shown on our website. The company’s whose job you apply for will then continue through their own application process and notify an applicant of their application status.
How are jobs.getsetup.com and getsetup.io related?
Jobs.getsetup.com is our jobs service arm of GetSetUp.io which focuses on empowering learning experiences. Some GetSetUp.io classes related to job skills are visible on the jobs site with a clickable link taking the viewer to the class details page on getsetup.io or into a class recording depending on availability and scheduling.
Also, Employer showcase events will be held on getsetup.io. These will be scheduled and visible on getsetup.io similar to how a Guest Speaker event is on the site. GetSetUp members will be able to register for these events just as they would register for a regular class. If you miss a showcase session you want to attend you can find it on the Jobs Event Page to re-watch.
How can I post my vacancies on GetSetUp Jobs?

I have a question about one of the sites listed on the jobs board. How does GetSetUp control the jobs posted on their job board?
We list a variety of job options for potential job seekers. Considering we have very diverse job seekers we try to include a variety of types of jobs. This includes full-time, part-time, and independent contractor positions.
We understand that not all jobs will meet the needs of each job seeker. Once job seekers leave our site to look at potential careers on other sites it is up to them to evaluate if the job is right for them. Some jobs require background checks and have options for premium memberships and training either paid or unpaid. All of these are up to job seekers to evaluate based on their personal needs as we cannot control other sites outside of our own. We screen all the companies we list on our site, but we cannot control their work policies or hiring practices. We offer Employer Showcases so job seekers can learn more about jobs ahead of time or watch past showcases to help them select the jobs right for them before applying for positions.
